Arsenal complete loan move for Kim Källström

Arsenal have completed the signing of Spartak Moscow’s Swedish international Kim Källström on loan until the end of the season.

Arsenal have completed one of the most eye-raising transfers of the entire window, signing Spartak Moscow’s experienced Swedish international Kim Källström on loan until the end of the season.

The veteran really isn't of the calibre of a Premier League-challenging team, though with Arsenal's midfield currently devastated by injury and suspension, Arsène Wenger has clearly been looking for quality over quantity in the centre of the field.

Upon completing his move, the 31-year-old told Arsenal’s official site:

“Arsenal is an amazing club with a lot of great players and a coach who has done really well here for a long time. I am so pleased to come here to learn as much as possible. I’m here to do my best for Arsenal and to help out the team, so we can achieve good results for the last part of the season.”

Though he has played in European competition with Spartak already this season, Källström is eligible to play in the upcoming knockout stages of the Champions League.
