Inter Milan complete Hernanes signing

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Lazio’s star midfielder Hernanes.

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Lazio's star midfielder Hernanes until June 2018. The Brazilian midfielder leaves the aquile after three-and-a-half years of service, having established a reputation as one of Serie A's top players since his move from São Paulo back in 2010.

There's no doubt that he's a fantastic capture for the nerazzurri, who have been short on quality and creativity in the centre of their midfield for quite a while. Hernanes isn't a pure deep-lying playmaker in the Andrea Pirlo mould, but a more dynamic attacking force, capable of gliding into advanced positions and chipping in with a few goals courtesy of his excellent long-range shooting.

His versatility and mobility no doubt will serve him well in Walter Mazzarri’s midfield system, and this could well be the best signing we’ve seen in Serie A this January. With Hernanes having been pretty quiet so far this season, hopefully he’ll be able to discover top form once again.
