Shrewsbury Town vs. Chelsea live stream: How to watch the League Cup online

Chelsea will look to avoid becoming the latest victim of Shrewsbury Town’s impressive cup run.

League Two side Shrewsbury Town welcomes Premier League leaders Chelsea to the New Meadow for a match expected to break the small ground's attendance record. The club has installed temporary seating at the small grounds, bumping capacity up to just over 10,000 for the day.

Whether or not the the Shrews performance can live up to the excitement remains to be seen, but Micky Mellon's side have looked strong so fair int he competition, already knocking out Championship sides Blackpool and Norwich City, along with Leicester City from the EPL.

Chelsea though are another matter, even a likely weakened Chelsea side missing a large number of the regular starters that Jose Mourinho is expected to rest.

Mourinho is not going to want to risk starters, at least not all of them, in this match. That doesn't mean he won't field some of his regulars and it certainly doesn't mean he expects his team to do anything other than win. Diego Costa will not play, but beyond that it's a toss up. There's reason to believe we'll see the likes of Kurt Zouma, Nathan Aké and Dominic Solanke, which would be awesome because they're three talented youngsters who could shine in this situation.

TV: beIN Sports en Español (U.S.), Sky Sports 1/HD (U.K.)
