Without Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, Bayern Munich failed to make the most of their chances. Schalke’s equalizer was a handball, but they probably won’t mind.
Bundesliga: No goals to be found

Daniel KopatschFreiburg and Gladbach played a scoreless draw in another defensive match that featured just seven shots on target. Considering the busy run of games that Gladbach has had to deal with at the beginning of the season -- five competitive matches in 16 days -- a draw on the road isn’t the worst result for them. Lars BaronTwo minutes from time, David Alaba was tackled just inside the area but was told to get up by the referee. It was a tough decision but it looked like the correct one. Four minutes of extra time saw few chances for either team.

He’ll be looking to open his Bundesliga account against a Schalke side that has looked shaky in the back to open the season.
A reported transfer target for several Premier League teams this summer, left back Christian Fuchs found himself pressed into service following the early injury to Sead Kolasinac last week, and now has the daunting task of shutting down containing keeping track of one of the best right wingers in the world. Everybody knows the book on Robben -- he’ll cut inside and strike with his deadly left foot - but few are able to keep him from executing his plan. There’s no doubt he’ll have plenty of opportunity on Saturday, and Fuchs will need to prove he’s equal to the task.
