You’re walking from the dressing room to the pitch, but first you must walk through the tunnel of doom.
Player tunnels are normally solid colored, or have the team name on it. Sometimes there are sponsors or images representing the team’s history.
But if you’re Schalke, you turn your player tunnel into a mining shaft where there is probably a serial killer at the end. Because this is football and football is for tough people. Or they are deranged and terrifying.
