Radamel Falcao has been linked to several of the world's biggest teams on transfer deadline day, with Manchester United having now seemingly moved into pole position. If he does end up leaving, Monaco will have to move fast to fill as much of those impossibly big boots as possible. If the latest rumours are to be believed, their chosen replacement could be Tottenham Hotspur's Roberto Soldado.
Monaco looking to replace Radamel Falcao with Roberto Soldado
With Radamel Falcao’s Monaco exit looking ever more likely, the Ligue 1 club are apparently turning to Tottenham Hotspur’s Roberto Soldado.

The Spaniard arrived from Valencia last summer, but hasn’t been a hit at White Hart Lane. The 29-year-old scored just six goals in 28 Premier League appearances last summer, and has played just 10 minutes of league football under Mauricio Pochettino this season. His departure is looking pretty likely.
According to the Telegraph, Monaco have joined AC Milan, Juventus and AS Roma on the list of those interested, but the Ligue 1 outfit are said to favour a loan move over forking out Spurs’ £13 million asking price. He’s certainly nowhere near the calibre of Falcao, but then again, few are. As a pretty low-budget, solid striking option, Soldado wouldn’t be a terrible signing for Leonardo Jardim’s side.
