Premier League clubs chasing Marseille’s André Ayew

Four Premier League clubs have been linked with Marseille attacker André Ayew.

One of the most in-demand players on transfer deadline day is Marseille attacker André Ayew, who is reportedly subject to interest from several clubs in the Premier League. The 24-year-old Ghanaian international has been linked with Aston Villa, Hull City, Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers, and would apparently cost in the region of £8 million.

These rumours have been flying around for the last few days, despite Ayew seemingly featuring prominently in the plans of new Marseille coach Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentine has used the forward in all four of their Ligue 1 games so far this season, with the Lille native having impressed in their recent 4-0 thrashing of Nice.

It would be a surprise to see him leave Marseille, and his capture would no doubt be a coup for those middling Premier League sides. He’s a versatile, quick attacker capable of playing anywhere across the attack, with intelligent movement and excellent dribbling his best attributes. If he does move to England, he shouldn’t have a problem adapting to the game.
