Javier Hernández has medical ahead of move to Real Madrid

Manchester United’s Mexican striker has undergone a medical ahead of his move to Real Madrid.

Manchester United striker Javier Hernández has undergone a medical ahead of his loan move to Real Madrid. The 26-year-old Mexican international is expected to complete his switch to the Santiago Bernabéu later on transfer deadline day.

This transfer may come as a bit of a surprise, with Hernández having struggled to hit his best form over the last couple of seasons. However, there's no doubting he's a fine poacher, and he should do a solid job as a backup to Karim Benzema at the Merengues.

Madrid have been on the lookout for a rotation striker since the departure of youngster Álvaro Morata to Juventus in the summer, and it looks like Hernández is the chosen one.

Meanwhile, United look set to sign Radamel Falcao on loan from Monaco to boost their numbers in attack, with Danny Welbeck possibly set to follow Hernández out of Old Trafford.
