Valencia in negotiations for Inter Milan’s Fredy Guarín

Valencia are in negotiations to sign Inter Milan’s Colombian international midfielder Fredy Guarín.

Valencia are hoping to complete the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarín, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The La Liga club is reportedly hoping to bring the Colombian international in on loan, albeit with an option to make the deal permanent included.

28-year-old Guarín joined Inter from Porto back in 2012, but he has never really established himself as one of the nerazzurri’s crucial first-team players. That hasn’t stopped him making 26 Serie A starts in each of the last two seasons, as well as featuring for his national team at the recent World Cup in Brazil.

Inter coach Walter Mazzarri may well feel that his side is deep enough in midfield to sell Guarín, with Rene Krhin, Gary Medel and Yann M'Vila having all arrived at the San Siro this summer. Valencia, meanwhile, have already spent over £13 million on a midfielder so far this window, with André Gomes having joined from Benfica.
