2011 Aegon Championships At Queens Club Results: Venus Williams Returns With Victory
Playing her first tennis since January, five-time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams returned with a victory Monday at the $618,000 Aegon International, a final grass-court Wimbledon tuneup.
The unseeded former world No. 1 Williams needed all three sets to oust eighth- seeded German Andrea Petkovic 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 in 2 hours, 35 minutes at Devonshire Park. The rising Petkovic reached quarterfinals at this year’s French and Australian Opens.

Andy Murray did win his first Queens Club title since 2009, but first he had an eventful weekend. On Sunday, Andy Murray played Jo-Wilfried Tsonga -- in a game of table tennis. Their championship match in the Aegon Classic at the Queen’s club was rained out.
Early Monday morning, Andy Murray stood in his boxers with a racket in hand, preparing to swing at what he thought was an intruder. Turned out to be a false alarm. Murray blogged for the BBC that he was wide awake after that so he watched the NBA Championships:

During Andy Murray’s French Open semifinal match against Rafael Nadal, the Brit was taking painkillers just to make it through. The world No. 4 suffered ligament damage in his right ankle during the semifinals.
However, after a two-hour practice on Monday, Murray confirmed that he will play in the Aegon Championships at the Queens Club.
