Royal Rumble 2016 results: Mark Henry, Jack Swagger qualify for Royal Rumble match
At least we’ll get to hear Three 6 Mafia one more time on Sunday night.
Despite being in WWE for years, the Dudley Boys weren’t regular competitors in the Royal Rumble during the Attitude Era. Bubba Ray Dudley made a surprise return to the company during last year’s Rumble, and the commentary team noted that D-Von Dudley has never competed in the match.
The Dudleys looked like the clear favorites, and were close to winning on multiple occasions, but Jack Swagger prevented Devon from pinning Viktor of the Ascension by pulling him out of the ring. Chaos ensued, the referee seemed to stop caring who the legal man in the match was, and Henry went on to win the match for his team seemingly without tagging himself in.
