With windy conditions still buffeting the afternoon groups at the 2010 British Open, the scores are steadily rising at St. Andrews. Louis Oosthuizen took advantage of getting his second round in relatively early in the day with a 5-under 67 that brought him to a record-tying 36-hole total of 132, good for 12-under and a five-shot lead halfway through the tourney.

Many of the afternoon groups had just begun their rounds when play was called, with little-known South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen leading the field at 12-under after finishing his second round with a 5-under 67.
