2010 British Open At St. Andrews, Second Round: Louis Oosthuizen Leads As Play Suspended Due To High Winds

The British Open is usually about links play. With courses snuggled up against the British coast, the elements typically come heavily into play, with low-hitting players benefiting. But apparently conditions can get too harsh.

Play was suspended on Friday due to the high winds, after gusts between 20-30 MPH began moving golf balls on the greens. Many of the afternoon groups had just begun their rounds when play was called, with little-known South African golfer Louis Oosthuizen leading the field at 12-under after finishing his second round with a 5-under 67.
