NCAA Bracket 2011: Printable Bracket Updated After Final Sweet 16 Games

NCAA Bracket 2012 is here.

The last four teams booked their tickets to the Elite Eight with wins in the Sweet 16 on Friday night. The evening started out on a disappointing and boring note. Well, to everyone except North Carolina and Kansas fans. However the second half of the evening delivered on that patented March Madness as we watched one game go to overtime and a one-seed fall in the final seconds of the other.

The updated 2011 NCAA Tournament printable bracket can be found here.

Kentucky’s 62-60 win over Ohio State is a game-changer for the rest of the tournament. A lot of folks assumed the Buckeyes would role into the Final Four. Now the East Region will come down to two historical powerhouses. Kentucky will be joined by North Carolina, who obliterated Marquette earlier in the evening. The final score might have been a manageable 81-63 but don’t forget the halftime score was a gaudy 40-15.

In the Southwest Region, another historical power advanced to the Elite 8 when Kansas handled Richmond with ease, 77-57. Things may have gotten chippy in the tunnel beforehand but the only team that took that intensity with them to the court seemed to be the Jayhawks. Providing a bit of a respite from the usual suspects, VCU will meet Kansas in the regional final after they survived Florida State 72-71 in overtime. Will the Rams be this year’s George Mason? We’ll find out Sunday.

Full coverage of every March Madness game can be found at our NCAA Tournament hub.
