NCAA Bracket 2011: Printable Bracket Updated Through First Half Of Elite Eight
Two teams have punched Final Four tickets; two more have had their championship dreams dashed. And four more will wait until Sunday to know if their NCAA Tournament run ends or rolls on to Houston. This has been March Madness at its best, and that Butler and Connecticut are the first two teams to make the 2011 Final Four just reinforces the idea that there are a lot of brackets with blacked-out lines on them strewn across America.
The updated 2011 NCAA Tournament printable bracket can be found here.
For Butler, surviving a barrage of bricks from Florida’s guards got a 74-71 win in overtime, and a return ticket to the Final Four for the second consecutive year. The West Region’s representative, Connecticut, weathered a second half full of rallies from Arizona for a 65-63 win.
Sunday will bring with it two more Final Four teams — and, with luck, two games as excellent as today’s back-and-forth battles. In the Southwest Region, Kansas and VCU will play for the right to go to Houston, while in the East, blue-bloods North Carolina and Kentucky clash for the chance to cut down the nets in Newark.
