Bryant McKinnie has been cut by the Minnesota Vikings, according to reports. McKinnie was due $4.9 million in base salary as well as a $1 million roster bonus. The Vikings brought in Charley Johnson to take Mckinnie's spot on the roster, as well compete for the team's starting left tackle spot.

McKinnie was a no-show to the start of training camp, despite rumors that he was busy slimming down in preparation for the upcoming season. Johnson's signing on Monday, Peyton Manning's former blindside, seemed to spell the end of McKinnie's career as a Viking.
