Chris Paul Injury: Star Carried Off On Stretcher With Apparent Head Injury

Chris Paul was taken off the court during Sunday night's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on a stretcher and wearing a neck brace. It appears to be a mostly precautionary measure, as he had movement in his limbs and was able to signal thumbs-up to fans in attendance, but it was certainly a scary moment.

Paul accidentally collided with Ramon Sessions' shoulder while scrapping for a loose ball, falling to the floor with what looked to be an injury to his head or neck. Once on the ground, Paul attempted to lift his head, but gave up on the effort after realizing something wasn't right. Still, it's a good sign that he was able to try.

The New Orleans Hornets bench cleared out to gather around Paul as he waited in the paint. He was down for at least two minutes before medical staff were able to start transporting him into the locker room.
