The Chicago Bears are known to be looking for a backup quarterback after going through the Caleb Hanie experiment and missing the playoffs last season. One of those backup options will be Jason Campbell, who is coming to Chicago for a visit, according to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi.
Jason Campbell Drawing Interest From Chicago Bears
Campbell was the Redskins' first-round pick in the 2005 NFL draft and he stayed in Washington for four seasons before moving onto the Oakland Raiders. He was the Raiders' starting quarterback until the Carson Palmer trade knocked him aside.
Campbell would be a high-end backup quarterback with starting experience. For the Bears, going from Hanie to Campbell would offer a massive upgrade at the backup position.
