Devin Thomas Agrees To One-Year Deal With Chicago Bears

Devin Thomas has agreed to terms on a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Thomas will be playing for the fourth team in his five years in the league. The former first-round pick caught just three passes last season as part of a deep New York Giants receiving corps. Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed.

Thomas hopes to have an easier time carving out a role for himself in a Bears offense that has been starved for passing weapons for years now. The team also added Brandon Marshall this offseason in hopes of giving quarterback Jay Cutler some offensive help. Where Thomas lands on the depth chart remains to be seen, though he could play a sizable role with a solid training camp.
