More: Course map is here.

The annual marathon, run every year since 1970 on the first Sunday of November, is one of the most popular marathons in the world for both amateur and professional runners alike. This year’s race will be the first to be fully televised to a national audience and will showcase more than 40,000 participants, most of whom were chosen via lottery system.

Live coverage kicks off at 9 a.m. on ESPN, with Hannah Storm and John Anderson joining members of the local WABC-TV news team, and is set to run through 12:30 p.m. Live coverage picks up again on ABC at 4 p.m. and runs through 6 p.m. Full coverage of the marathon will be covered locally on WABC-TV Channel 7.

The full race can also be viewed via 7online, as well as through the WatchABC app.
