In the second round, Hopkins attempted to work from the outside and slip Cloud’s punches, and he did a slick job of it for the most part. At one point, Cloud landed a body shot, Hopkins slipped a punch and landed a hard right hand. Cloud went back to the body again and then misses a left hook to the head.
Hopkins looked to slow the fight back down after Cloud started to get his offense working, again forcing clinches and trying to dirty things up a little bit. Hopkins landed a few punches in the latter part of the round and avoided a wild punch from Cloud thrown in return.
Late in the round a fight broke out in the crowd that brought out more cheers than the fight itself.
