Hopkins was able to work multiple jabs in a row early in the tenth round and Cloud’s pace continued to slow. This allowed Hopkins to continue to dictate the pace and when Hopkins is dictating the pace of a fight, he is at his best.
Cloud had attempted at several points in round ten to get Hopkins to the ropes, but Bernard found easier ways to get off the ropes in the round than he had earlier as Cloud was slowing down. Hopkins landed another late round combination and clearly had established that he had won the round, shoulder rolling away from a few fights and taunting his opponent.
