Between round of Bernard Hopkins vs. Tavoris Cloud, HBO showed replays that showed that a cut on Tavoris Cloud clearly came from a punch. The referee, however, had decided that the cut came from an accidental headbutt, potentially changing the complexion of the fight completely.

Cloud, knowing that the cut could be a major issue, attempted to come out hard in round seven. Hopkins still got in a few punches of his own in the round as the HBO commentary team said that Cloud’s blood was splattering them at ringside.
Hopkins landed a slick three punch combination and circled away, landing the better shots through the round.
It’s been a competitive fight, better than many -- myself included -- expected.
