In his first game since Week 4 because of a concussion, Buffalo Bills rookie running back Karlos Williams had a huge game Sunday. The rookie scored his fifth and sixth career touchdowns in Buffalo’s 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Fantasy football waiver wire advice: Karlos Williams has huge game in injury return
The rookie running back scored two touchdowns Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Williams didn’t see heavy usage early in the game, serving primarily as the change-of-pace back for starter LeSean McCoy. The starter suffered a second-half shoulder injury, though, giving way for Williams to produce. He had 110 rushing yards and two scores on nine carries in the game, good for a 5.4 yards-per-carry average.
Fantasy impact: McCoy insisted after the game that his shoulder injury wasn’t serious and said he’d play in Week 10, a Thursday game in which the Bills play the New York Jets. If so, Williams will be little beyond a change-of-pace back again, but even in that role, he’s shown enough that he’d be worth a look as a mid-range flex.
If McCoy underrates his injury and he can’t play Thursday, Williams -- who has scored at least one touchdown in each of his first five career games, the seventh ever to do so -- would become a fine fantasy starter, ranked in the mid-teens at the position. Either way, he should be owned in all leagues, and not just as a McCoy handcuff. Williams has value in his own right.
