New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft took the stand in the Aaron Hernandez trial Tuesday. Kraft was questioned on his relationship with Hernandez while the tight end was with the team. In particular, many of the questions centered on a meeting between the two men two days after the murder of Odin Lloyd.
Robert Kraft questioned about his relationship with Aaron Hernandez
Robert Kraft endured questioning during the Aaron Hernandez trial Tuesday. Both the prosecution and the defense attempted to paint a clearer picture of the relationship between the Patriots owner and the former tight end.

Yahoo’s Dan Wetzel was at the trial, and described the defense as attempting to “humanize” Hernandez -- in particular, holding up Hernandez’s $40 million contract as symbol of how much Kraft personally trusted the tight end. Personal details emerged, including the fact that Hernandez had a special greeting for Kraft -- “He would always hug and kiss me.“
Kraft testified that Hernandez said he was innocent, and had explained his relationship with Lloyd. According to Kraft, Hernandez said that Lloyd was his fiancee’s sister’s boyfriend, and that the two men had a social relationship.
Moments of the testimony were intense. Wetzel described Kraft as “flustered” at one point, and noted that Kraft and Hernandez had been noticeably avoiding eye contact.

He was also indicted for the murder of two men in 2012. That trial has been delayed until his current trial has been completed.
