The Detroit Lions’ offense hasn’t found a ton of success against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11, but got into the end zone for the first time by handing off to Eric Ebron for a 1-yard rushing touchdown.
Lions finally found running room vs. the Jaguars by handing off to a TE for a TD
Eric Ebron’s 1-yard rushing touchdown is one of the only bits of running room the Lions found all day.

Prior to the score, the Lions had a pair of touchdowns but one was a punt return and the other was an interception return. While Matthew Stafford had 226 passing yards, the 1-yard score for Ebron was one of just 12 rushing yards for the Lions up to that point.
On the next drive, the Lions opened with a 4-yard loss on a rushing attempt and had a 2-yard loss as well, dropping their total to 6 yards on the day.
Bringing a tight end for an end-around rush has been a growing trend in the NFL with Ebron, Coby Fleener, and Rhett Ellison all scoring rushing touchdowns in 2016. But entering Sunday, Ebron had never before had a rushing attempt in the NFL.
Considering the lack of running room for Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington, giving Ebron more rushing attempts might not be such a bad idea.
