A handful of lopsided matchups means we have some obvious picks in Week 11.
Rolando McClain suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy

Photo by Elsa/Getty ImagesThe Dallas Cowboys seemingly struck gold with Rolando McClain but never trusted him enough to commit to the linebacker long term. Those decisions look prophetic after a year-long suspension was given to McClain just before he was set to finish a 10-game suspension he earned in the summer.
Friday afternoon, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that McClain had been suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Photo by Al Bello/Getty ImagesThe Los Angeles Rams didn’t just lose last week. No, they lost in spectacular fashion after getting a 10-0 lead, sitting on it with an overly conservative, undisciplined approach, and watching it all get blown away by two Ryan Tannehill touchdowns in the last three minutes of the game. That loss also put Jeff Fisher in the history books.
Fisher has now lost 162 career games. That ties him with Tom Landry for the second-most losses by an NFL head coach. A loss this week to the Saints, and he’ll have second place all to himself. With four more losses, he’ll be the all-time leader, climbing past Dan Reeves, who has 165.

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY SportsThe Cleveland Browns still can’t find a win and they’re five losses away from joining the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only teams to ever go 0-16, but it’s still unfair to rule out a victory in the final five weeks.
Cleveland is the 12th team to start 0-11 in the NFL and of the previous 11, nine managed to find wins before the end of the year. Only the 0-14 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1976 and the aforementioned Lions continued to lose through the remainder of the season.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY SportsThe Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans played a fun Monday Night Football game, the first one south of the border, in Estadio Azteca in Mexico City.
Unfortunately for the Texans, it appeared they were on the bad end of a few calls during the game, and each scenario turned out to be costly for Bill O’Brien’s squad by the final whistle.

Photo by Tom Pennington/Getty ImagesSo far this season, the stronger conference in the NFL has been the AFC. The NFC is starting to make a push, though. The Dallas Cowboys have the best record in the NFL at 9-1, and two other NFC East teams are almost as hot. The New York Giants (7-3) won their fifth straight game, and after a win over the Green Bay Packers, Washington is right behind them at 6-3-1.
The Giants and Washington hold the two wild card spots in the NFC. The two AFC wild card teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Denver Broncos, are sitting at 7-3.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY SportsThe Oakland Raiders came out on top by a final score of 27-20 in the NFL’s showcase on Monday Night Football in Mexico City against the Houston Texans.
The game started with some controversy, after the officials appeared to miss a call on a DeAndre Hopkins reception on just the sixth play of the game.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsWeek 11 of the NFL season has come to a close, and it was an interesting one across the league. The weather was colder, some playoff races had crucial results, and NFL kickers missed extra points at a historic rate -- this week, at least.
Elsewhere in the NFC East, the New York Giants continued their own winning streak. The Giants have now won five in a row after a 22-16 victory over the Chicago Bears.

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY SportsThere are some big names out for Week 11 in the NFL, but none bigger than Rob Gronkowski, who will miss the New England Patriots matchup with the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara.
The Pittsburgh Steelers took a huge hit earlier this week when defensive end Cam Heyward announced he would be out for the season. He’s likely headed for injured reserve.

Photo by John Grieshop/Getty ImagesCincinnati Bengals star receiver A.J. Green could return before the end of the season after an MRI revealed he didn’t severely injure his hamstring and only suffered a sprain in the first quarter of a 16-12 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
After Green dropped a throw from Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, he fell to the ground and rolled over in pain. He grabbed his right hamstring and was carted off the field.

Photo by Jason Miller/Getty ImagesAfter the Browns’ 24-9 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, Cleveland wide receiver Terrelle Pryor and left tackle Joe Thomas voiced their frustration about the hits Cody Kessler and Josh McCown took during the game.
On Monday, Hue Jackson said it wasn’t Pryor’s job to say the quarterbacks need better protection.

The Indianapolis Colts are making a statement on Sunday after taking an early 14-0 lead against the Tennessee Titans. Part of that is thanks to wildcat quarterback/wildcat receiver Frank Gore.
Gore took a wildcat snap before pitching the ball back to quarterback Andrew Luck, who sold the Titans secondary on a flea-flicker deep ball so hard Gore went unnoticed. The veteran running back slipped through the line to catch Luck’s pass, then rumbled 49 yards down to the Tennessee 5-yard line.

Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty ImagesThe Los Angeles Rams looked like they were in good shape to get Jared Goff a win in his first start as an NFL quarterback. The Miami Dolphins had other plans, though, and made a late push to follow through on them.
After the game, the Dolphins head coach, Adam Gase, even admitted to being a little surprised by the late comeback. Here’s how it happened.

Troy Wayrynen-USA TODAY SportsFirst-round draft picks are big investments so they get extra leeway to adjust to the NFL, but it looks like Nelson Agholor burned through all of it in less than two years with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sunday looked like the breaking point for a team that seems fed up with waiting for the former USC Trojans star. Not only did he finish without a reception (he caught a two-point conversion), Agholor dropped what would’ve been a big play and nullified a go-ahead touchdown by not lining up correctly.
Read Article >The NFL rule change making extra points harder is great
People like to pretend they want to see perfect football and every bad pass, drop, missed tackle, and missed kick bring with them groans about the quality of play. So it’s not surprising that many bemoaned the NFL record 12 extra points that were blocked or missed in Week 11.
Even with point after tries successful 93.6 percent of the time, many aren’t a fan of the rule change that pushed back kickers 13 yards and dropped the success rate from its nearly perfect mark of 99.3 percent in 2014.

Photo by Otto Greule Jr/Getty ImagesThe Seattle Seahawks seem to have found a new star at running back in rookie C.J. Prosise. He had a big game last week against the New England Patriots, and got off to an electrifying start this week against the Eagles with a 72-yard touchdown run.
That excitement was halted, however, when Prosise left their game against the Eagles with a shoulder injury in the first half. Prosise was evaluated in the locker room at halftime, and did not come out for the start of the second half, or for the rest of the game.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY SportsCan anyone catch Dallas for the top spot in the NFC? The odds are longer than ever after the Cowboys carved up a strong Baltimore pass defense for more than 300 yards in a Week 11 win.
Dak Prescott and Dez Bryant lifted the Cowboys to a 27-17 victory on Sunday to improve to 9-1 on the season and add another dimension to one of the league’s scariest offenses. MVP frontrunner Ezekiel Elliott was merely above average against Baltimore, running for 97 yards on 25 carries. Instead, it was Prescott, buoyed by his big target Bryant, who powered the Cowboys.

Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty ImagesLANDOVER, Md. — On the same field only 10 months ago, the Green Bay Packers torched Washington 35-18 in a Wild Card playoff game. The FedEx Field crowd left that day wondering if the gulf between their team and the Packers was not only a quarterback riddle -– Aaron Rodgers vs. Kirk Cousins. They also wondered if the gulf in overall talent and depth was far too deep.
Not one Washington fan among the 77,137 who exited here on Sunday night was hand-wringing over Cousins or their team. The hammer Washington leveled on Green Bay in a 42-24 victory left all of the worry, all of the doubt, all of the riddles on the Packers.

Photo by Adam Bettcher/Getty ImagesWeek 11 of the NFL has been pretty wild when it comes to extra points for kickers. Not in a good way, either. On the afternoon, NFL kickers have missed an NFL record 12 extra points.
Before any of the early games could even get to halftime, we had five missed extra points across the league. It turns out, missing extra points had become infectious.

Sunday, Nov. 20 was a landmark day in the NFL for spectacular failure. A grand total of 12 extra points were missed by kickers, shattering a mark that stood since 1985, matching one that stood firm since 1966. It’s the most XPs missed since the NFL merger in 1970.
Hitting XPs has been decidedly more difficult since the NFL elected to move the distance back 10 yards in 2015 and we’ve seen the effects every week. No longer are XPs gimmes, but that still doesn’t explain professional kickers missing 12 of them in one day.

The Packers fall to 4-6, and the expectations surrounding Green Bay coming into the season have all but evaporated.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed a touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson to even up the score against Washington, and he managed to do it despite getting dragged around by his facemask.
The facemask grab was committed by safety Su’a Cravens, who was flagged for roughing the passer, but Rodgers steps into the throw and completes it anyway.

Washington running back Rob Kelley earned the nickname “Fat Rob” in college, and even though that’s no longer the case, the moniker has stuck. Kelley may find that more people are calling him “Fat Rob” after he introduced himself that way during Sunday Night Football.
Kelley has taken over the bulk of the carries for Washington, and he has 287 rushing yards and a touchdown so far this season.
