Browns wide receiver Terrelle Pryor isn’t happy about the way Cleveland has failed to protect its quarterbacks this season, and he’s letting his frustration be known.

The Browns allowed eight sacks to the Steelers, Cody Kessler suffered another concussion, and Terrelle Pryor wasn’t happy about any of it.

The Browns have yet to win a game this season, and their loss to the Steelers on Sunday was yet another in which a Browns quarterback left with an injury. Cody Kessler, who got the start for Cleveland, was removed for the game to be evaluated for a concussion after a brutal hit from Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons.
Cleveland ruled Kessler out for the rest of the game with the injury, and head coach Hue Jackson said after the game that there’s a “possibility” Kessler will be shut down for the rest of the season after suffering his second concussion this year, according to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Josh McCown entered the game, and he also took some hard hits. The Browns allowed a total of eight sacks on Kessler and McCown on Sunday.
Pryor, who played quarterback in college and has had to fill in under center for the Browns this season due to injuries, said he doesn’t know how to resolve the problem, but they have to find a way to protect the quarterback.
“We can’t keep getting these guys hit,” Pryor said. “I’m tired of our guys getting hit, and I’m nobody to complain, because I don’t run it, but it’s personal for me because I care for those guys, and I don’t like seeing them get hit like that. Point blank, period. Somebody’s got to say it. I’m going to say it.”
Pryor has remained optimistic about the team this season, even after Cleveland’s Thursday Night Football loss in Week 10 to the Baltimore Ravens, saying that he looked at it “like we still have a chance to make the playoffs.”
Despite his frustration with the hits Browns quarterbacks are taking, Pryor remained positive about his experience in Cleveland, saying that he loves being with the Browns.
The Browns are 0-11 and last in the AFC North after Sunday’s loss to the Steelers. The loss officially eliminated Cleveland from playoff contention.
