At 6’3 and 226 lbs, Matthew Stafford is a large man. His own tight end, Eric Ebron, found out the hard way when the MVP candidate trucked him at the tail end of a 7-yard, go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game.

Ebron was a victim of friendly fire as Stafford broke the plane of the end zone. Stafford’s scramble gave the Detroit Lions a 20-17 lead with fewer than four minutes to play in the game.
Stafford’s touchdown run was a little more impressive than his attempt at a celebration.
It was Stafford’s eighth game-winning drive in a fourth quarter or overtime this season, which is a new high mark.
The Detroit quarterback was limited by a finger injury that has forced him to wear a single glove on his throwing hand. He had given the Bears a late lead after Cre’Von LeBlanc intercepted his third-down pass and returned it 24 yards for a touchdown. Stafford’s response — a seven-play, 76-yard touchdown drive — let the Lions retain their comfortable lead over the rest of the NFC North.
