Chargers started with a pick 6, end up giving up a safety within 3 plays

This was a really unfortunate turn of events for the Chargers.

The Carolina Panthers looked well on their way to a blowout win against the San Diego Chargers. But as we’ve seen this season, things get weird with the Chargers.

The Panthers and Cam Newton were in the red zone preparing for yet another score, when Trovon Reed picked off Newton and took it back all the way for a 97-yard touchdown return.

Unfortunately for the Chargers, the touchdown was called back upon review, and officials spotted them on their own 3-yard line.

Just three plays later, the Philip Rivers was sacked for a safety. So instead of a touchdown, the Chargers lost two points.
