The Minnesota Vikings have ruled out Adrian Peterson for their Week 16 matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Fantasy implications of Adrian Peterson being ruled out for Packers vs. Vikings
The Vikings and fantasy owners will be without Adrian Peterson this weekend.

Peterson has been sitting out at practice this week due to knee and groin injuries. He just came off of injured reserve and played in last week’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts, his first game since Week 2. Peterson previously said he would not return if the Vikings were out of playoff contention, which is pretty much the case heading into the final two games.
On Wednesday, Peterson insisted he wants to play vs. the Packers, and his latest injuries were just a few “nicks.” But with Minnesota all but out of the playoff hunt, they probably do not want to risk injuring Peterson further going into the offseason.
Fantasy Impact: With Peterson out, you can safely drop him in all of your leagues now. Jerick McKinnon and Matt Asiata are back to being low-end backups for your bench. Neither is worth starting in Green Bay.
