Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner told SiriusXM NFL Radio on Tuesday that the team would like to see running back Adrian Peterson carry the ball at least 20 times per game in 2016. With that average, Peterson’s carries would total at least 320 during a full 16-game season.
Vikings want at least 20 carries per game for Adrian Peterson in 2016, remains top fantasy running back
Adrian Peterson looks to continue his role as the Vikings workhorse running back in 2016. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson is coming off a 2015 season where he led the NFL in rushing yards (1,485) and rushing attempts (327). With the running back now 31 years old, one would figure that Minnesota would like to decrease his workload for 2016. But apparently, that is not the case.
Fantasy impact: This is great news for Peterson’s fantasy owners. Already one of the top running back options heading into 2016, Turner’s statement might cause some people to draft Peterson even higher.
Although Peterson’s fantasy value did not need much help since he currently has a first-round ADP in standard 12-team leagues, Tuesday’s news should just erase any remaining doubts that anyone had about his fantasy projection for 2016.
