Mayweather vs. McGregor: Demi Lovato sings national anthem before fight
The pop star gave a quality rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in Las Vegas.

Lovato is a fan of combat sports who personally trains in MMA and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. She had never sung the national anthem at a boxing event before, but this was a unique opportunity with one of the most hyped fights of all-time. Millions are watching the fight Saturday, even with the streaming issues that have plagued those trying to watch online.
She’s also sung the national anthem at many other sporting events, including Game 4 of the 2015 World Series, Game 5 of the 2011 World Series, and a Dallas Cowboys game in 2008.
Lovato isn’t the only prominent pop music act to get involved in the grand display that is Mayweather-McGregor. The Killers recently released a special music video for their new single, “The Man,” that’s full of clips of the two fighters.
