If a 17-7 halftime lead over West Virginia holds, William & Mary could provide the fifth upset by a FCS team in college football’s opening weekend.
William & Mary beating West Virginia: Latest FCS upset in the works?
The Tribe have dominated time of possession in the first half and could be working toward yet another FCS upset.

Playing at Morgantown, W.Va., William & Mary scored 17 unanswered points after West Virginia scored first on an 11 yard-rush by Charles Sims. Tribe quarterback followed that up by engineering a 6-play, 62-yard drive, capped with a 1-yard touchdown pass to Darnell Laws.
Graham added a 5-yard touchdown scamper at the 8:56 mark in the second quarter, and then kicker John Carpenter sent a 29-yard field goal through the uprights with 23 seconds left in the half.
All together William & Mary held a 17:06-12:54 advantage in time of possession. West Virginia quarterback Paul Millard was an effective 9-for-12 in the first half, but he lost a fumble after a first-down sack at WVU's 34-yard line with 2:06 left in the half.
A William & Mary Upset would be the latest in a string of Week 1 FCS upsets. North Dakota State, Samford, Towson and Southern Utah all picked up victories over the first two days of the season.
