The second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes ran into a bit more trouble than expected from visiting Buffalo Bulls on Saturday, but still managed a 40-20 opening weekend win.
Ohio State vs. Buffalo 2013 video highlights: Buckeyes hold off resilient Bulls
Ohio State beat the visiting Buffalo Bulls by 20 points on Saturday -- relive it through videos and GIFs.
The Buckeyes got on the board first with a 47-yard Braxton Miller touchdown pass to Devin Smith. Urban Meyer still hasn't been able to kick his addiction to MAC sadness -- first developed at Bowling Green -- so he went for two. Kenny Guiton ran it in on this weird formation.
The Buckeyes scored a few minutes later on another Miller pass, and we subsequently found out the first conversion was just a setup for this one.
The Buckeyes took a 23-0 lead into the second quarter, and even with a Buffalo touchdown at the start of the period, the lead seemed safe. Miller and the Buckeyes were driving around midfield when this happened.
That was probably the peak of the game for Buffalo fans. Ohio State quickly responded with a 37-yard touchdown run by Jordan Hall, and that would be that for the Bulls' comeback effort.
