Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier out with cramps after being carted off

The star linebacker might not be back for the Buckeyes against Buffalo after being carted off the field.

Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier was carted off the field during the second quarter of the Buckeyes' game against Buffalo, putting a huge scare into OSU fans. Early reports were that he was suffering from leg cramps, and the school confirmed that was the issue. It's unclear whether he will return, but with only a 30-20 lead in the third quarter, the Buckeyes could probably use him.

Shazier is the most experienced member of the Ohio State front seven, and is generally considered one of the best linebackers in the country. The junior had 114 tackles last year, as well as 17 tackles for a loss, five sacks, and 10 passes broken up. He also took an interception back for a touchdown.
