GIF: Rice jump ball touchdown keeps Owls close vs. Texas A&M

Rice may not win at Texas A&M, but Jordan Taylor’s making highlight-reel catches to keep the Owls in it.

Remember that leaping catch by Jordan Taylor in the first quarter of the Rice-Texas A&M game? Turns out that’s not even the best play Taylor made in the first half. Here’s Taylor grabbing a precariously deflected pass and turning it into six points:

That touchdown would help Rice get back to within 28-21 with just 10 second left in the first half. Texas A&M fumbled the ensuing kickoff, but Rice’s field goal attempt at the end of the half flew far wide. Perhaps Jordan Taylor should have tried that one too.
