Update: Head coach Bill O’Brien said that Robinson will play in the second half.
Penn State suspended top WR Allen Robinson for first half of Syracuse game
The dreaded “disciplinary issue” suspension has claimed another player.
The Penn State Nittany Lions will be without their top wide receiver against Syracuse, as Allen Robinson has been suspended for a "disciplinary issue," according to PennLive. It's unknown what exactly the issue is at this point, but this move was not announced prior to the game.
Robinson was Penn State’s top target in 2012, and was one of the best wide receiver in the Big Ten. He caught 77 passes for 1018 yards and 11 touchdowns last year as a sophomore, and was expected to be the top option for the Penn State offense yet again. Without him in the lineup against Syracuse, the already-tight end heavy offense should lean even further on the “NASCAR” packages and the running game.
