Box Score Hero: It won't be easy replacing Johnathan Franklin, who left UCLA as the all-time leading rusher in Bruins history. Junior tailback Jordon James got off to a smashing start for UCLA, however, totaling 155 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown.

Rankings Ramifications: UCLA entered the week at No. 21 in both the AP and Coaches Poll. They’ll likely rise a few spots after their opening win, especially with losses by No. 19 Boise State and No. 20 TCU.
