Georgia Bulldogs star receiver Malcolm Mitchell suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s game against Clemson. Mitchelll apparently landed awkwardly while while celebrating Todd Gurley’s first quarter 75-yard touchdown run, according to 247Sports.

The Bulldogs’ star wideout suffered an injury while celebrating a first quarter touchdown.


The injury appears to be serious, as the report says Mitchell’s knee was stabilized on the sidelines.
Players have been going by to console Malcolm Mitchell. Right knee has ice on it and is not moving. Signs look very bad on this one, folks.

Georgia head coach Mark Richt confirmed to media members after the game that Mitchell’s injury was serious, but he did not know the full extent of it.
Mitchell was Georgia’s leading returning receiver from last season, when he caught 40 passes for 572 yards and four touchdowns. The junior from Valdosta, Ga., was named to the preseason watch lists for both the Paul Hornung and Biletnikoff Awards.
Georgia starts SEC play next week when they host South Carolina.
