New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (ankle) was questionable for Week 17 but is active on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. Nicks looked to be in danger of missing the season finale, a game that the Giants must win to keep their playoff hopes alive, but will play.
Hakeem Nicks injury: Active in critical game, fantasy value still low
Nicks has not had many yards this year outside of one game against the Bucs. We break down the fantasy implications.
Nicks has missed three games this season, including the Giants' earlier game against the Eagles. It has been a down year for Nicks, who has 53 catches for 692 yards. However, 199 of those yards came against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the league's worst pass defense, in Week 2. He has not topped 80 yards in any other game.
Fantasy Take: It really seemed like Nicks was developing into a true number one receiver, but he has fallen way behind teammate Victor Cruz for that title. He may need an offseason to rest up and get back to 100% health, but he may just be more of a number two.
