Detroit Lions running back Mikel LeShoure was one of the first injury casualties of last season, tearing his Achilles in practice during training camp, but is expected back at practice by next week. LeShoure has missed most of this training camp with a hamstring problem. In addition to the injuries, LeShoure will also serve a two game suspension to start the season.
Mikel LeShoure Expected Back Next Week: Fantasy Implications
Mikel LeShoure is almost ready to return to practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: Running back Jahvid Best is also out right now, still recovering from the concussions he suffered last season, which means that Kevin Smith will be the number one for the moment. We still don't know what kind of role or production that LeShoure will have at the NFL level, because the 2011 2nd round pick has yet to play in a game. On one hand, none of the Lions running backs have proven to be healthy over the last few years, which means that they're all a gamble. On the other hand, the Lions will be one of the highest scoring teams in the league, so whoever gets the most reps this season could be in line for a very productive year.
