Fantasy football waiver wire: Best wide receivers available in Week 11

The byes wrap up this week as we approach the home stretch of the season. Waiver advice: Top 5 | QB | RB | WR | TE

With the holidays right around the corner, the fantasy football season approaches its stretch run as owners make a final push toward the playoffs. This is also the final week we have to worry about byes, but the waiver wire will continue being an important factor.

The good news for fantasy owners is that the wide receiver position didn’t suffer too many serious injuries. Chris Hogan sat out, but that was expected with his shoulder ailment. Will Fuller suffered a cracked rib and will probably miss one game, but his fantasy stock already took a nosedive with Tom Savage under center. He no longer needs to be owned in 12-team leagues.

This week’s bye teams are the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers. That means Christian McCaffrey, T.Y. Hilton, Robby Anderson, and Marquise Goodwin won’t be available for fantasy owners.

Once again, let’s dive in with a look at the best waiver wire wide receivers, owned in 50 percent or less of Yahoo! standard leagues.

Corey Davis, Tennessee Titans (48 percent)

We’ve been waiting for Davis to play a bigger role since coming back from a hamstring injury, and it appears that he’s earned it. Davis led the Titans with 10 targets in their win over the Cincinnati Bengals, finishing with four catches for 48 yards. The one blemish was a lost fumble that could’ve been a touchdown, but it’s encouraging to see Davis get this many looks from Marcus Mariota. He could be a difference-maker in the final month of the season.

Josh Doctson, Washington (29 percent)

We’re still waiting on Doctson to turn his potential into results, but that hasn’t really happened. Over the past two games, he has just seven catches for 89 yards, failing to take advantage of Terrelle Pryor falling out of the game plan. The good news is that Doctson is still a starter, and Washington might have to lean on the pass games with Rob Kelley injured again. Doctson gets the New Orleans Saints next.

Corey Coleman, Cleveland Browns (22 percent)

Coleman is set to return from a hand injury that landed him on injured reserve in Week 2. It’s not a moment too soon for the Browns, whose offense went in the tank without a legitimate No. 1 receiver for DeShone Kizer to throw to. It’s possible Coleman will be on a snap count, and he’s a tough sell going against the Jacksonville Jaguars this week, but fantasy owners need to add him in all formats. He’ll likely be fed as many targets as possible when 100 percent.

Kenny Golladay, Detroit Lions (seven percent)

Remember him? Golladay set the fantasy world alight with two touchdowns in Week 1, and then his hype train immediately derailed when a hamstring injury knocked him out for five games. Golladay finally came back in Week 10 and got 64 yards on two catches, playing just 11 snaps as he rounds back into shape. He’ll likely play more going forward, but with Golden Tate and Marvin Jones both healthy right now, Golladay is more of a “wait and see” bench stash in deeper leagues.
