Tiger Woods opened his third round with a birdie, but a few missed opportunities have him back at even-par on the day through six holes.

After opening his round with a birdie, Tiger Woods is back to where he started on Saturday.
After hitting his first three greens in regulation, Woods’ tee shot ran long on No. 4, rolling through the green. His chip left him with a par putt from inside of 10 feet, but he pushed it right. The bogey dropped him back to even-par on the day and 1-under for the tournament.
Woods birdied the par-4 fifth hole on Friday, but had no such luck on Saturday as another par kept him at even-par for the day and five strokes behind the leader. His tee shot on No. 6 held atop a ridge on the green, leaving a tricky birdie putt. His birdie putt missed, but he made the second putt for his fourth par of the day.
With conditions optimal for scoring and Woods beginning the day five-strokes off the lead, he’ll need to begin converting birdie opportunities to remain in contention heading into Sunday.
