After the Miami Heat stumbled out of the gate, scoring 12 points in the first quarter, LeBron James woke up in the second, cutting the deficit to 12 points at the half as the San Antonio Spurs lead, 62-50. James scored 15 of Miami’s 38 points in the quarter after only scoring two in the first. Chris Bosh has been a factor, unlike Thursday night, and had 11 points and nine rebounds in the first half.
Heat Vs. Spurs Score: LeBron James Awakens As Miami Claws Back In Second Quarter
The Spurs had three players finish the half in double-figures, with Matt Bonner and Manu Ginobili each scoring 12 points. Gary Neal added 10 points off the bench and Tim Duncan had nine. Richard Jefferson finished the half with seven points, DeJuan Blair had six and Tony parker had four. Duncan had a team-high nine rebounds, as well.
While the big three have shouldered the scoring load, with Dwyane Wade adding nine points to compliment James’ 17 and Bosh’s 11, Mike Miller has been a factor off the bench, scoring nine points in the first half. James had five rebounds and four assists after a slow first quarter, as well.
After falling down by 24 early, can the Heat do to the Spurs what the Magic did to them last night? At the half, it’s a 12 point deficit with Miami trailing, 62-50.
