Knicks Vs. Grizzlies Score: Carmelo Anthony Leads Knicks To Early 30-27 Lead
Toney Douglas added eight points and Amare Stoudemire had six for the Knicks. Marc Gasol led the way for the Grizzlies with six points in the opening quarter.
The game wouldn’t be as close as it is without New York turning the ball over five times leading to 10 points for the Grizzlies. Memphis is one of the NBA’s best teams at forcing turnovers and that has been key in keeping themselves within striking distance of the Knicks in this one.
If the Grizzlies want to stay in this game they are going to have to find a way to make the Knicks miss some shots. With Rudy Gay sidelined Memphis simply won’t have the firepower to get in a shootout with New York.
