Marc Gasol hopes he can return from a sprained MCL in 10 days, and though the Memphis Grizzlies expect that timeline to be doubled, there's a good bet the center is back in about two weeks, according to Memphis radio show host Chris Vernon.
Marc Gasol could return from sprained MCL in 2 weeks, according to report
The Memphis Grizzlies believe center Marc Gasol could make a return in 20 days, and the big man himself thinks he’ll be back even sooner.

Gasol played 10 minutes in a Nov. 22 loss to the San Antonio Spurs before going down with a sprained knee, and his return being set around two weeks down the road from Monday would make the total amount of missed time at six weeks — not bad at all considering the severity of the injury. Still, Memphis sits at 11-15 and with an alarming 5-10 record at home.
Since the San Antonio game, the Grizzlies have gone 4-9 without Gasol and ended a five-game losing streak on Saturday with a victory against the lowly New York Knicks. There's no denying the sooner Gasol returns, the better off the Grizzlies will be.
Gasol, the 2013 Defensive Player of the Year, was averaging 16 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game for coach Dave Joerger’s squad before the knee sprain.
