It’s not as easy to measure the impact of an offensive lineman -- after all, the best ones by definition don’t make much of a dent in the stat sheet. But most of these names should sound familiar, and not for the wrong reasons. One of them even has a trophy named after him.

This poll will stay open all weekend, with the full list of winners revealed Monday morning. (Also: a word from the commish on players who didn't make the list.)

Justin Blalock, Texas Longhorns
First player to start 50 games at Texas. Named to the All-Big 12 first team four times.

Jeff Hartings, Penn St. Nittany Lions
Started his last 31 games. Offensive line gave up just three sacks in 1994, one of at least two years in which he was named an All-American by some selectors.

Jake Long, Michigan Wolverines
One of three unanimous All-Americans in 2007. Long started at tackle for Michigan for four years and was a No. 1 draft pick.

Dave Rimington, Nebraska Cornhuskers
Namesake of the Rimington Trophy. Named Big 8 Offensive Player of the Year -- as a center. Won the Outland Trophy in back-to-back seasons.

Previously inducted OL: Orlando Pace, Ohio State.

The SB Nation College Football Hall of Fame is a summer project involving all of the network’s excellent college football blogs. Each community could nominate five of its own for inclusion, with 10 of those nominees being inducted by our selection committee, which included reps from most FBS conferences. The remaining 10 will be chosen by public vote Wednesday and Thursday.
