Bo Pelini To Hospital With Flu-Like Symptoms, According To Report

University of Nebraska head football coach, Bo Pelini, was forced to leave the sidelines of the Cornhuskers game against Arkansas State on Saturday afternoon due to an illness. At halftime, Pelini left the stadium and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

According to the ESPN College Football Twitter account, he is being treated for what is being characterized as “flu-like” symptoms:

The 44-year-old Pelini had to sit down for a moment and had his pulse checked on the sideline earlier in the game. He would later declare, “I’m OK. I’m fine. Not feeling real good,” seemingly downplaying whatever was ailing him when asked about his health during a halftime interview.

Nebraska currently leads Arkansas State 35-13 in the fourth quarter and were up 28-3 when Pelini was forced to leave the stadium. Currently, defensive coordinator John Papuchis has taken on the role of head coach in Pelini’s absence.
