Vince Young Loses Starting Job After ‘Verbal Confrontation’ With Titans Coach Jeff Fisher

Following the Tennessee Titans overtime loss to the Washington Redskins, QB Vince Young reportedly threw his shoulder pads into the stands (although he later suggested on Twitter that's not true...but then deleted the tweet). According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Young and head coach Jeff Fisher had a verbal confrontation in the locker room. As Fisher was preparing to address the team, Young was "throwing out expletives under his breath" and started to walk out as Fisher told him to quiet down.

Fisher told him not to walk out on his teammates, to which Young said (paraphrased), "I'm not running out on teammates, I'm running out on you." Young then walked out of the locker room, with DB Michael Griffin chasing him to no avail.

SB Nation’s Music City Miracles says enough is enough: Both Fisher and Young need to be gone.

Franchise quarterbacks don’t mock the crowd when they are getting booed, and they don’t throw their stuff into the stands because their feelings are hurt. Vince has made numerous strides on the field, and that shows me that he has the physical ability to play the position, but he still hasn’t shown that he has the mental toughness to play the position- and don’t mistake that as a shot at his intelligence because it isn’t.

You would think the Titans are out of it as all hell is seemingly breaking loose in Tennessee. However, they're just one game out of first place in the AFC South. Kerry Collins will be the man moving forward as Fisher announced that Young had lost his starting job (injury or not).

Now the question becomes: Will Vince Young ever play for the Titans again?
